Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was the biggest beneficiary. It was founded by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder as well as his wife Melinda. They focused on health and education in the world. Bill and Buffett have been friends since the early 1990s. The three Buffett children and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (named after his wife) were among the foundations that received donations. They were concerned with the rights of women's reproductive health, provided scholarships for college students, and also other charities.
